Writing for Self-Discovery: Play

Is marijuana addictive? Yes, in the sense that most of the really pleasant things in life are worth endlessly repeating.

Hey Writers,

The next topic has landed….Play!

To play is to act in a manner such that one has fun.  To take part in.  To act out. To move quickly. To compete.  To battle.  To pretend.  To practice.  To risk chance.

Play creates resiliency, competency, emotional health, trust, safety, & perseverance.  It’s been shown to reduce stress & social anxiety.  It activates dopamine & oxytocin.  It helps us grow empathy.  It boosts creativity.  It helps us be okay in the unknown.

So….in this 3-week workshop, play will be our lead.  Let’s see where it takes us.
